I got pregnant at the age of 17 years and gave birth to my son, Daniel. I am 21 years now because I gave birth, my family decided I stay at home without going back to school. I had the desire to learn tailoring but I was not given the opportunity. I am staying with my father who is a farmer and all I can do is to engage in farming in order to take care of myself and my son. Sometimes, the money to buy pad becomes a problem and is a worrying situation for me. However, with the knowledge I have acquired so far from the training, I see my life improving. I will now cultivate the vegetables whiles I await the skills training to further increase my income.

With a strong desire to acquire a skill, Kate is being supported through the innovative women farmers training to become financial independent.
