Pinasol Foundation

Since 2011, the PINASOL Foundation works on humanitarian relief, development and advocacy dedicated to children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice, in the Sekyere East District, in the Ashanti Region in Ghana. We serve all people regardless of religion, race, ethnicity or gender. In the past seven years, we have gained a unique experience of helping youth acquire employable skills and also helping women to accumulate wealth and practice better savings and banking culture.

Team

Solomon Okyere Asiamah started Pinasol Foundation 7 year ago. Solomon was educated an electrical engineer and a TVET expert and teacher. He and his team have experience working in youth entrepreneurship in the informal sector projects in vocational education and training. Rose Boahemaa is responsible for the accounting and teaching. And Yaq Afrifa manages the construction programmes.

There is assigned personnel responsible for Pinasol foundation food security projects who works with the Ministry of Food and Agriculture(MoFA) for successful implementation of our programmes.

Moreover, through Memorandum of understanding with Kumasi Institute of Tropical Agriculture (KITA) in the provision of training for our farmers groups, PINASOL will leverage on the skilled staff of KITA for capacity building in agribusiness and climate-smart agriculture.

Pinasol was established in 2011 as a result of the assistance the less privileged sought daily from Apostle Solomon Okyere Asiamah and his wife Eunice

Past results

PINASOL improved the lives of over 971 farming families constituting 40 women’s groups in Village Savings and Loans Association (VSLA) project, carried out in collaboration with World Vision Ghana.

15 youth in Sekyere East District, Ghana are trained as solar power electricians. With the skills, they are empowered to seek employment or become self-employed, and contribute to energy solutions for communities.
