Joan’s insight into Sexual and Reproductive Health

They call me Joan Chebet, and I live in the Chesoen village. I go to Rift Valley Adventist secondary school. I never knew that they are a lot to learn about Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) until the day the Peer Educators from Kalyet Afya Foundation came to our school and enrolled in the program. More importantly, I realized my right to access sexual and reproductive health information and services.
The Peer Educators informed us of the free SRH services to be offered in our village by Kalyet Afya Foundation. Being informed of our rights, my friends and I decided to attend the health outreach and receive the services.
I feel lucky to be in a school where the teachers support the Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) program offered by Kalyet Afya Foundation. I am empowered and purpose to pass the knowledge to my younger siblings and friends.
