This project was started in 2020 when COVID-19 kept us all at home. When schools were closed for the whole year, the Kithoka Amani Children’s Home (KACH) kids decided to take the bull by the horns and build their own dormitory. Since the number of vulnerable boys had increased especially due to COVID-19 and deaths of some mothers, we decided to build a new boy’s dorm to house the older KACH boys, leaving room for younger kids at the original KACH. We completed the walls of the boy’s dorm and now look for funds to put in the roof, doors, windows, paint and furnishings. The boys cannot wait to move in this August if we will have completed fitting all these parts. Like Patrick says in the video here, once complete, we will be so happy to show off the beautiful work the kids have done with all of your support. Once again, THANK YOU all for choosing to support KACH kids to meet their dream of expanding their boy’s dormitory so that we can house more vulnerable kids at KACH.
